Rudi Williams und Aden Miller zu Gast an der Folkwang Universität der Künste

Wir freuen uns darauf, am 10. Dezember 2025 ab 18 Uhr Rudi Williams und Aden Miller bei uns im Quartier Nord zu begrüßen! Alle sind herzlich eingeladen, an der Präsentation und am Talk im Grundlagenraum Fotografie (1.52)  teilzunehmen. Die Veranstaltung wird auf Englisch stattfinden. Fangen wir schon mal mit den beiden CVs an:

Rudi Williams (born in 1993) often combines and contrasts images taken at different times and in different places, exhibiting varying photographic forms, to reflect on her own history in relation to concepts such as memory, temporality, and the archive.

Aden Miller (born in 1999) makes sculptures, installations, photographs and paintings. Across these outputs, Miller's work typically leverages conventions of medium and display through processes of combination and effacement to produce contradictions and encounters with non-standard use. Miller also directs Kurzzeit, a nomadic exhibition space. He co-directed Melbourne gallery Asbestos from 2021–2024, alongside Joshua Krum and Brittany d’Argaville.

Noch bis zum 4. Januar 2026 läuft die Ausstellung »In the air we breathe« von Rudi Williams im Museum Folkwang. Ab dem 5. Dezember ist Aden Millers Ausstellung »Intelligence« im Neuen Essener Kunstverein zu sehen.

Rudi Williams und Aden Miller sind die Residents der Neue Folkwang Residence, einer Kooperation von Museum Folkwang und Neuer Essener Kunstverein, ermöglicht durch den Folkwang-Museumsverein e. V. und die Stiftung Olbricht, gefördert von Vonovia.
