We are looking forward to welcome Sean Kerr for his guest lecture »Machines talking- ƃuᴉʞlɐʇ sǝuᴉɥɔɐW: Emergent technologies and their interactive potential: Emergent technologies and their interactive potential«.

Sean Kerr lives and works in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, New Zealand, where he is an Associate Professor at Te Waka Tūhura, Elam School of Fine Arts, Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand. He is the Director of the Fine Arts Doctoral Programme, specializes in, installations, sound, new media and real-time 3D, VR and interactive technologies.

Within the broader field of visual arts, his work is distinguished by a sustained engagement with new and emergent technologies, documenting this research predominantly through public exhibitions and publications. His areas of expertise include Interactive Art, real-time 3D, VR, AR, Mixed Realities, Physical Computing, Electronic Art, Installation, Internet Art, Video Art, Film, Sound Art, and Performance   Art, and he has a background in film sound post-production.

As an academic, he has been actively engaged in creating caring and supportive, self-directed learning environments for teaching emergent technologies for creative practices in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
